Polk County Public Health is providing free nasal Narcan kits to community members. Narcan (Naloxone) is an easy-to-use nasal spray that can rapidly reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. Pick up your Free Narcan Kit at Polk County Public Health offices:
- Crookston Office: 816 Marin Ave Suite #125, Crookston
- East Grand Forks Office: 1424 Central Ave, NW, East Grand Forks
- McIntosh Office: 250 Cleveland Ave, McIntosh
Each person is eligible to receive one free nasal Narcan kit, while supplies last. No appointments are necessary.
Organizations and Community Partners:
Polk County Public Health is also offering free Naloxone training to organizations and community partners across Polk County.
Training Overview:
Public Health staff will come directly to your location to deliver a comprehensive, 1-hour session (timing may vary based on organizational needs).
Training Objectives:
- Identify factors that increase the risk of opioid overdose
- Recognize the signs of an overdose
- Respond effectively to an overdose, including how to administer NARCAN nasal spray
Each participant will receive a free nasal Naloxone (NARCAN) kit (while supplies last).
